Are you a Home Health Aide? Are you a Personal Care Attendant? If YES, then you are a DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL. There are over 100 different job titles that fit under "Direct Support Professional" or "DSP". All DSPs have something in common. They directly support people who experience disabilities, chronic health issues, mental illness, and people who are aging. YOU are the ones whose service allows many people to have choice and freedom in their lives, and to participate in their communities. The Direct Support Professional Association of Minnesota (DSPAM) is YOUR professional association. DSPAM brings together DSPs who care about being recognized as professionals. And, this means being respected for our service, liveable wages, affordable benefits, continuing education, credentialing, and being included in decision-making. If you care about these issues, join our grassroots movement to professionalize and empower DSPs. Your voice should be heard. Be represented. Connect with other DSPs. Advocate for your rights. Join DSPAM.
