Show Your Support For DSPsBecome A Proud Member of NADSP
It’s that time of year again. No, we’re not talking about the season of re-gifted bath soaps, overcooked hams, and your Uncle Eddy complaining about the cost of tinsel. This is the time of year where organizations and individuals across the human services field rally to elevate the status of Direct Support Professionals. Dozens of agencies and hundreds of professionals across the country are showing their support by becoming members of the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP).
NADSP Membership sends a clear message that you value the critical work of DSPs, and you’re driven to help NADSP in its mission for improving practice standards, promoting system reform, and advancing their knowledge, skills and values.
Beyond the symbolic message you’re sending, there are tangible benefits for human service providers and agency staff. Becoming a member of NADSP means that you will be able to participate in monthly Learning Annex and Let’s Talk webinars, receive NADSP e-Newsletters, and apply discounts to conference registration and training events. Members will also have exclusive access to the membership section of NADSP’s website, where you can view past webinars, read archived editions Frontline Initiative articles, and view a calendar of upcoming events and staff development opportunities.
Membership options are open to a wide variety of people and organizations connected to the human services field. At an individual level, DSPs, Frontline Supervisors, self-advocates, family members, social workers, administrators, healthcare professionals, and others can become members. At an organizational level, human service providers, state associations, businesses, and stakeholder groups can join NADSP as an Affiliates or Sponsoring Organization.
It certainly is that time of year. Please rally with us and become a proud member of NADSP. And, sorry for calling you out Uncle Eddy.
