Constance Harrington, author of this month’s International Journal for Direct Support Professionals, joins NADSP’s John Raffaele on “Let’s Talk” to discuss the industry’s move toward a Technology First approach.
Technology First does not mean replacing staff with gadgets or handing someone a device and walking away. Instead, it is a philosophy: that technology should be considered as the first, not last, option in providing support. It’s about harnessing enabling technology to unlock opportunities, increase independence, and help people live the lives they want.
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are at the heart of helping people live meaningful, self-directed lives, supporting their choices and helping them reach their goals every day. As services evolve, this move toward Technology First is a significant opportunity.
Join John and Constance on October 30, at 2:00pm ET, as the author discusses how this approach aims to enrich the DSP’s role. You can read Constance’s article, “Technology First: Empowering People, Expanding Possibilities,” by clicking here.
ASL interpretation and closed captions will be available during the webinar.
