NADSP Code of Ethics: Tenet Webinars
NADSP is presenting 30-minute webinars about each tenet of the NADSP Code of Ethics, which will be held throughout 2026 and 2027. The webinars include an overview about the Code of Ethics, the specific tenet, and tips for implementing it into your supports and services. Organizations and employees are encouraged to watch these webinars and share them with others. They can be used to help inform best practices and spark important discussions about the ethical dilemmas that direct support professionals and other staff face every day.
Advocacy
The Code of Ethics tenet for Advocacy, is centered around the ethical statement: “As a direct support professional, I will advocate with the people I support for justice, equity, inclusion, and belonging in their communities.”
