NADSP News: Meet Our Newly Elected Board Officers
The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) is pleased to announce its newly elected board officers. The board of directors and its leadership are instrumental in furthering NADSP’s mission to elevate the direct support workforce. In January, Maria Walker will assume the role of Board Chair, replacing Chester Finn whose term expires at the end of this year. Dr. Monica McCall will assume the role of Vice Chair, previously held by Maria Walker. Finally, Cathy Ficker Terrill will become our Board Secretary, replacing the outgoing Kate Dunbar.
“With reactive political leadership creating legislative policies that put the direct support workforce and ultimately people with disabilities at risk, NADSP must meet the moment with thoughtfulness and strategy,” says, NADSP President and CEO, Joseph Macbeth. He continues, “We’ve grown, significantly over the past five years with exponential growth in our credentialing contracts, industry partnerships and more than doubled our staff. Our new board leadership will ensure the organization can not only maintain this growth, but to continue to elevate our emerging projects.”
As we welcome our new board leadership, we would like to share gratitude to our current officers who will end their current term on December 31,2025. Thank you to Chester, Maria and Kate for their work and support during their transformative terms with NADSP.
