Over the past few weeks, we have shared Words of Encouragement from from some of our colleagues As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads throughout the world, news, social media and work can be overwhelming. We’ve committed to sharing resources for taking care of yourself but we’re not alone. Many of our colleagues want to share words of encouragement. We want you to know that as you continue your essential work in supporting people with disabilities, you are not alone and you are valued for the incredible work you do.
After a very eventful week at the NADSP, we are pleased to share Words of Encouragement from Ann Hardiman. Ann is the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) for the New York Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation in Albany, New York. Earlier this week we announced Ann as this year’s John F. Kennedy Jr. Award for Direct Support Workforce Advocacy & Leadership honoree. We are excited to honor Ann in September. To read more about Ann and this incredible achievement, click here.
In Ann’s video, she reflects on the soul of the work and the experiences direct support professionals are currently going through. To watch the video, click the video below.
