Impact: Crisis Management For People With Disabilities

Mar 1, 2021 | Guides

This edition of Impact looks at crisis management for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, following a year of global pandemic, natural disasters, and social unrest. Authors highlight the inequities that people with disabilities—and their direct support professionals—face during and after disasters and crises. The issue shares personal stories from self-advocates and articles from experts that examine the specifics of current crises. Authors also issue a call to action for the disability community to engage more directly in crisis preparation and intervention.
